Mindfulness for healthy living – 4-week foundation course

Every Tuesday 15 May – 2 June 2020, 2 – 4.30 pm

Venue: Kew Gardens

Led by Karen Liebenguth

Mindfulness is a practical way of bringing beneficial changes to our lives. The principle underlying mindfulness is both simple and profound: awareness is transformative.

By bringing more awareness to our day-to-day experience we learn how to better respond to the ups and downs of life, to move away from habitual, knee-jerk reactions and responses, making space for greater happiness, freedom and kindness.

This unique mindfulness course offers the added benefit of spending time in nature, amidst the beauty of Kew Gardens. Being outdoors greatly facilitates a mindfulness practice and enhances general wellbeing with its crucial restorative and rejuvenating qualities. We naturally slow down when we’re in open, green space and our senses heighten as we connect to what’s around us.

This 4-week foundation course is for anyone new to a mindfulness practice and who would like to explore what mindfulness is, learn the basic principles and practice with an accredited mindfulness trainer in order to benefit the everyday experience.

Sessions will be held in the gardens with an indoor venue available for rainy weather.

A 4-week mindfulness going deeper course will be held from 15 September – 6 October 2020.

Booking details to follow.
