Mindfulness for Stress - A special day for NHS Workers and Teachers

  • Gunnersbury Park Popes Lane London, England, W5 4NH United Kingdom (map)

Join us at Gunnersbury Park & Museum for this bespoke mindfulness day with

experienced mindfulness teachers, Karen Liebenguth & Bodhilila Young.

Mindfulness is a practical way of bringing beneficial changes to our life at work and at home. The principle underlying mindfulness is both simple and profound: awareness is transformative.

Bringing more awareness to our day-to-day experience enables us to learn how to better respond to the demands of daily life, to move away from autopilot and habitual, knee-jerk reactions and towards more rewarding communication and relationships. Mindfulness leads to more creative and effective collaborations and decision making and helps us to respond to life’s difficulties with increased emotional resilience.

Activities on the Day:

During the day we will be sharing key concepts of mindfulness, some scientific evidence of the benefits of mindfulness as well as offering you some guided mindful practices that you can immediately apply to make space for greater ease, focus and perspective.

This unique mindfulness day offers the added benefit of spending some time in nature, amidst the beauty of Gunnersbury Park. Being outdoors greatly facilitates a mindfulness practice and enhances our general wellbeing. We naturally slow down when we’re in open, green space and our senses heighten as we connect to what’s around us.

What to Bring:

Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes as we will be spending time both indoors and outdoors. Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring your own lunch and snacks. Alternatively, there is a café in the park where you can buy lunch.
